Dr. Jeannette Musset obtained a medical degree in Naturopathic medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM). Prior to medical school, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Indiana University in South Bend, Indiana.
Dr. Musset grew up surrounded by nature and learned to use natural remedies for minor ailments. While conducting a research project through the National Science Foundation, she was introduced to naturopathic medicine and immediately knew it was her calling. In 2011, she moved to Arizona and enrolled at SCNM.
During clinical rotations, Dr. Musset worked with patients at the walk-in HIV/AIDS clinic in Phoenix, Mission Mercy, River Source Addiction Clinic, Adelante Healthcare and Sojourner Center, the largest domestic violence shelter in the United States. She was one of the first students approved to do a rotation in the Pain Clinic at SCNM and treated acute and chronic pain conditions. She also volunteered in the Emergency Department of Phoenix Baptist Hospital. These rotations allowed her to treat a wide variety of patients from different cultures and all walks of life, and also taught her the skills necessary to interface and work with the allopathic medical community.
During medical school, she held numerous leadership positions and served as the Research assistant assisting medical students and Residents physicians with clinical research projects. She was selected to serve on a prestigious health committee that endorsed the benefits of naturopathic medicine to the State Senate. She was also appointed a research internship with ASU Biodesign Infectious Diseases, investigating the use of antimicrobial botanicals against antibiotic resistant bacteria. In her fourth year of medical school, Dr. Musset’s research on food allergens and the correlation of asthma symptoms was published in the Global Health Advanced Medicine Journal.
Dr. Musset works with patients of all ages by addressing the underlying cause and not just symptoms. She is aware of the impact of one’s cultures and family dynamics on health decisions. If you are tired of receiving “medical textbook” treatments and want a doctor who takes a whole person approach then Dr. Musset is your doctor. She can review your labs, imaging and can be consulted after ER visits. She has special interest in aesthetics, preventative medicine, hormone balancing, sexual rejuvenation, natural pain management, and acute and chronic diseases. She has extensive training in Nutritional Counseling, Acupuncture, Cupping, Constitutional Hydrotherapy, Homeopathy, Ozone therapy, PRP/stem cell injections, Mesotherapy, High-quality nutraceutical supplements, Detox Therapy, Botox injections for facial pain and cosmetics, PRP facial injections, vampire facelift, fillers, Pharmaceutical Dependency/weaning, Trauma Counseling, IV Nutritional Therapy and Botanical Medicine.
